Building a Modern Soda Brand

Nostalgia doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for OLIPOP. Their success hinges on accessing your fondest soda memories, and replacing that Coke, Sprite or Mug Root Beer with something new. As Head of Creative I helped drive their transformation, from buzzy startup to the functional beverage category leader that’s ready to take on Big Soda. The first step was launching a new brand platform across broadcast and all digital touch points, with help from Camila Cabello & fam.

Refreshment Refresh

Throwback vibes are all well and good, but people still need to crave your product. Under my direction, we dialed up the taste & refreshment cues, re-shooting all 15 flavor SKUs and launching the brand’s first national OOH campaign.

Oli-Popping Up In Culture

And then there’s good ol’ fashioned product placement…with a modern twist. See us in “Barbie World” by Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice, “Too Fast” with Anderson Paak, Jay-Rock & Latto, “Bruises” starring Renee Rapp or at The Stranger Things Experience. All credit to OLIPOP hype man Steven Vigilante for unearthing these amazing integration opportunities.
